Welcome to Cinema Gamer ..

Welcome to Cinema Gamer! Let me begin by explaining what this is exactly, or you can just read the FAQ in its entirety.

What is Cinema Gamer?
Cinema Gamer is just an ambitious project to document as many video game cinematics as possible. Our dream is to create an archive of every video game cinematic and in-game movie.

What is a Cinematic?
There are many names for this -
including cut-scene, fmv, CG video, intro, outro, and of course cinematic. In
short, a cinematic is a pre-rendered or in-game generated movie that is used in
video games to help tell a story, further a plot, guide a user to do or view
something, or just as a way of showing off in-game features.

Why would anyone need this?
Countless reasons, but:

  • Maybe you enjoyed playing a game and want to
    see the cinematics again.
  • You can't remember the exact plot of some
    game.
  • You were never able to beat that final boss,
but still want to see how it ends.
  • You want to play the sequel/prequel to the
game, but have no clue what the background story is.

Where's [insert game] cinematics?
We currently only have a very very tiny amount of
games covered, but were hoping for everyone to help contribute cinematics from
their favourite games and help us build a large archive of these cinematics.
You're missing X cinematic from a game!
With the video games that we have listed, we don't
have all the cinematics from these games covered. We generally have at minimum
the introduction and conclusion, but in some cases we may only have one of
these. We need people to fill in these gaps by submitting the cinematics.

How can I HELP?

You can upload and submit videos. First just sign up
for an account (it's quick and simple, <1 minute), then just upload your video
to any video host of your choice (e.g. YouTube, Veoh) and then just submit the details to us using the submit form. You can
also comment and rate video game cinematics by browsing the site.

Well that's about it, the system is a little buggy
but we'll iron the kinks as we progress. Thanks to everyone who helps out, view
this, or takes the time comment/register/rate.
